Running with Windows 7 - won't send e-mails but will recieve them

I'm on a home network. 2 computers use Vista. This new computer uses
Windows 7. Outlook will not send e-mails. Can anyone help?

Usually the mystery version of outlook gives an err.msg, which might help,
as the crystall ball is a bit foggy
