Running Word 2003 addin and template under Word 2007

I have a word addin that creates a command bar with few buttons on it.
Clicking buttons calls a customized template. How can I make them work for
word 2007.

I can’t see it under Ribbon Tab "Add-ins" in Word 2007.

Do I have to install VSTO 2005 on machine that has Office 2007?
What PIA’s need to be installed?
Opening customized templates in install folder works alright.

My Word Addin adds CommandBar to a custom template file instead of
Normal.dot. This custom template file gets installed under “C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\STARTUP\†folder so that Word loads that
template in addition to Normal.dot. Now one of the issues I could see here is
on machine with Word 2007 there is no OFFICE11 folder but OFFICE12 instead.

I tried copying the custom template under†OFFICE12\STARTUP\†but still did
see the addin.

When I checked Word Options --> Add-Ins section my Word Addin appears under
Inactive Application Add-ins group. I tried activating the addin by clicking
Go button and checking the Add-in the Add-ins dialog box. I closed and opned
word again and the addin was still under Inactive list.

I also tried adding addin again the add-ins dialog box but it gives me an
error saying it is not a valid Office add-in.

:( Please help.
