running wordcount

Is there any way of inserting a running word count on each page of a Word
document? ie is it possible to have a header which will display the sum of
words written in the document up to that page?

You can add a word count, using a numwords fiels, but it will not constantly
update. You would have to force an update. For this you'll need a macro that
will act on the header - See http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm
