I would like to test a run time version of my database before purchasing the
Visual Studio tools. ie can i create a runtime version (from my Access 2003
software) that can be installed on a XP PC that does not have Access on it.
um... and how. I ran a check thru the newsgroup but couldn't find an answer
)

thanx

Sorry, but the only way to create a runtime version is through the Visual
Studio Tools for Office 2003.

You can simulate on your machine what using the runtime would be like by
creating a shortcut that includes a /runtime switch, but you can't test it
on a machine that doesn't already have Access installed.

Sorry, no.

OTOH, you can test your database under run-time condition (on a PC with full
Access installed) by using the /runtime switch in the command line to open
the database.

I am reasonably sure the /runtime switch is available in A2K3 but not 100%
as I mainly use A2K2 and I don't have A2K3 covenient at present.
