runtime error 6 overflow Word 2000

I work for a software company that has a java-based
transcription product that utilizes MS Word to create the
documents. We had an upgrade to the product and recently
a customer that upgraded from the old product to the new
exerienced a "runtime error 6 overflow" message when
trying to copy and paste text from the old transcription
product to the new. This happens when trying to
copy/paste a large block of text. Small blocks (~3
paragraphs) were not given the error. Prior to
installation of new transcription product, copy/paste of
any size did not generate errors.

Hi Rob,

Unfortunately the runtime error indicates an error in the
transcription product and not Word.

More than likely the variable they are using to temporarily store
copied text is not large enough since a runtime 6 error indicates a
variable limit has been reached.
