RUSH - Need Help w/ Master Slide Background Graphics

Hi,

Not new to ppt, but new to working with master slides and background
graphics. I am using ppt 2007.

I have a slide deck that I need to edit. If I open the deck and go into
Slide Master view, I can see the background graphics that are consistent on
all slides. I can hide and they disappear from view.

But I can't figure out how to edit them? With the graphics showing, I can't
select any of the graphics that I need to manipulate.

This has to be something simple, but what am I missing here?

Thanks in advance!

If the graphics are in the form of shapes, then you can edit them. If you
can't select the graphics, it's probably inserted as a background, which
means you can't edit them. In this case, you may need to use graphic editing
tool such as photoshop to edit them.

Sorry, I should have explained with more clarity.

The graphics are company logos, etc. that need to be removed and replaced
with different company logos, etc.

With the complete slide deck open and ready for editing, I can't figure out
how to delete the shape and replace it with a different shape. I can't
select the shapes, I can only hide or show them.

I supsect there is something in my not understanding slide masters.

Go into master view and click on the logo. Then, press the delete key. What
happen?

Reactor,
As Tohlz already said, either the logos are in the background and you can't
edit them. Or they have been inserted on the master and you can select,
delete and edit them.
Also, when the logo has been inserted on the mother master, the one at the
top, the logo will be copied to the other slide layouts, but you won't be
able to select them there. Maybe remove the logos on the mother master and
insert your new ones there.
You say you can hide and show them, could you elaborate on that. How are you
hiding them?

Thanks everyone,

Using all your info, I figured it out. The key piece was Luc mentioning
"mother master". I was not on this slide and therefore could not make the
edits I needed.

All good now . .. . . thanks again.
