We are currently setting up the Solution Accelerator for Proposals and are
having trouble extending the Proposal WordML. Basically, we are looking to
add value to the solution by offering a variety of proposal document types
(as you would expect). Our installation of the software (as provided by MS)
is working.
Is there any good tutorial or white paper documentation on how specifically
to do this?
We have tried the following scenario without success - based on the MS
customization guide which doesn’t have too much to offer on this subject.
Using the Proposal.xml as a base, we added formatted content and attempted to
add the smart doc apply xml styles to it. After some trial and error we were
able to get them into the document without throwing an error. As a side note,
we also tried by creating a new xml document and then attaching the IW
proposal schema to it with the same results.
We then uploaded it back to the Templates directory and created a new
proposal site using the template. The template opens fine in Word and the
sections we created appear in the list of sections, but when we click on the
“Edit†command we start to run into all sorts of errors. For example: The due
date is set back 4 months, the user list isn’t populated, the message box
that contains the default text for the notification simply says
“richTextBoxAutoMsgâ€, and notifications stop working.
Any help or guidance on this would be much appreciated!
