Dear Jon and Leila,
Just in case you have not heard, we had a waiting call from Bob Shaffer when
we came home from church. Sue Shaffer's brother Dick died last night at
11:00 PM. Sue had planned to return to Anchorage on Friday. She had driven
a sister back to Rochester, NY. Then they received a call that Dick had
experienced a stroke and a heart attack. so they drove back to Dover, NH.
They arrived at 9:00 PM and he died at 11:00 PM. The family is making
arrangements for the services; Bob anticipates Tuesday or Thursday. Sue has
been able to change tickets for her return trip back to Anchorage.
I remember that you have Sunday evening commitments at East; I thought an
e-mail would be less disruptive than a call.
