Safe area border

Hello,

I need to create a border around powerpoint slides so that when people
create their slides they don't write in this area. When we video tape
powerpoint slides (& speakers) the writing keeps getting truncated
because people don't leave enough of a border around the slide.

I would like to send user's something beforehand so they can use it and
stay within the safe area. I work at a hospital and we create
educational videos on the web. I created a jpg image and am forwarding
this on but it's not working.

Any ideas?

Thank you very much!

I like your idea of a JPG.

But maybe create a 1024x768 PNG. Make the border area black, and make the
center transparent. Instruct people to go to View/Master/Slide Master and
insert it on their masters. The transparency means they can see the middle
are of their template. And PPT will maintain the transparency of the PNG,
but it won't keep the transparency on a JPG.

Maybe also send a "before" and "after" picture so they can see what will
happen.

Alternatively, just broadcast the video with the text truncated. The
speakers will get the hint then. <G>

How about make 4 embedded flash with only black background? Since embedded
flash are always on top, theres no way the user can write anything on top.
