Safe to uninstall office XP after upgrading to 2003?

J

John

I installed office 2003 over office XP using the upgrade option so as
to keep my settings. This worked well - just a few tweaks needed to
toolbars etc.

However, I am left with the Program Files\Microsoft Office\office10
directory and the option to uninstall XP in Add or Remove Programs.

Can I safely delete the old office10 directory without breaking
anything?

Can I / should I uninstall office XP?

Thanks for the advice.

You may have programs installed with Office XP that are not included with
Office 2003 (Front Page for example). If you no longer want the programs,
then yes, you can uninstall.

Thanks; in the meantime I had installed FrontPage (hadnt initially
noticed it wasnt on the first CD) and the uninstall option for Office
XP, along with almost all of the left over files, disappeared.
