safety first

Hi,
I just installed a version of access on my laptop.
When I run a self-written program I get messages saying all kind of
things about safety-risks when running the code.
What am I to do? How to turn these messageboxes off.
Thanks
JP

Jean-Paul,
if you are using A2003, you can set macro security to low, this will cut out
the safety warnings.
Choose Tools | Macro | Security
Choose the option for low.

Great... it works fine now except....
In the "startup" menu, I changed some settings and now I lost some
menu-items. How can I get these back?
I remember I created a file so I finally get a sort of "stand alone"
aplication. (I still need access)
I forgot how that works... could you give me some hinds?

Thank you soo much

Jean-Paul,
to get back the menu items, go to Tools | Startup | Menubar
choose default from the combo.
Could you explain what "stand alone" application means to you.

Jean-Paul,
the menu with tools is the main menu that opens when you open A2003 and see
the database window.
If your app doesn't open to the database window, try holding down Shift
while you open the database.
