Same mails are received repeatly

Hey

I work at a training center and we use public outlook (sharefolder) in
combination with outlook 2003. A few month back we worked with outlook 2000
and there was no problem.

With this new change the following problem occured. When i sent a mail to
for example 2 of my college's they both get my mail 2 times. We use mail
rules to replace a received mail to the right folder. Everbody has a folder
with his (or her) name and the rule says when a mail is received replace
this mail to the folder with the name of the user.

I think that the problem is that outlook sends my mail 2 times (because
there are 2 recipiants) when those 2 mails come back they get seppartly
evaluated en so occure twice in each mailbox. Is there an option or
something to avoid this problem?

Thx in advace.

Kind regards
Erwin Bormans

I don't have an answer to the problem, but want to say that we have
experienced something similar. This has occurred repeatedly with both Outlook
2000 and now Outlook 2003. eMail messages that were formerly delivered,
either in the same day or in the past, show up in the recipients Inbox again.
Just this morning I received a message from August 2004! I did receive that
same message when it was sent back in August, so why it showed up 6 months
later again as a brand new message, I don't konw. Last week I received
current messages, from that day, that I had already received a couple hours
earlier.

One noticeable factor in at least some of the occurrences is that the
duplicate email I have received were originally sent from someone using
Entourage (Outlook on a Mac). I don't know if that has anything to do with it
but this is a very frustrating and potentially dangerous problem.

I hope someone has some ideas of what is going on for both of us!

I've seen the same problem and it started recently. I also have messages
saved to folders and it affects only one folder. I wonder if I have
duplicate rules set up but haven't figured it out yet.

I think it's an issue with the Exchange Server. It may be that the resending
of email occurs under very specific, uncommon circumstances, but we are
having it happen often enough that it's a problem. We have users with Outlook
on both Macs and PCs and most often the resent mail I get is that which was
originally sent by a Mac Outlook user. Well, maybe the problem will go away
one day with a service pack or something.
