Same text and image color dont match when printed

Hi,

I need to combine text shading color and raster image background to
produce same color on printed documents (RGB values ARE the same).

How to do this?

I retrieved RGB color values from image and applied the same to the text
shading (background), but those colors are printed as different colors.

Does anyone know some trick to make those print the same (they look same on
display)?

Note: I tried to transform image to various color spaces - nothing happened.
I also tried to play with printer's color profiles - it led to variations in
printed colors but they were always different from each other.

Any help will be greatly appreateated.

Exactly how is it that you "retrieved RGB color values from image"?

I'm guessing that the content of the image is not one solid color, but
instead comprises pixels of a variety of different different brightness
levels. OTOH, the color being applied to the text is all one shade.

Most sampling methods average the brightness levels of the pixels
encompassed when the sample is taken, so the values obtained actually may
not match any of the individual pixels in that range. Conversely, it's
possible that the sampled area was too small to provide an accurate range of
values so only values for a certain concentration of pixels were averaged.

Replicating the colors that appear in a raster image is tough enough in a
capable graphics editing program. Trying to do so in a word processing app
is virtually impossible.
