Sample Database Problem!!!

Hello,

Scenario

Project server 2003 Single Machine Installation.
Windows 2003 Standard Server
IIS6
Mssql 2000 with SP3
Mssql Analysis Service With SP3
Sharepoint service 2.0
project server 2003
project professinal 2003

Problem

User XYZ Has Admin rights on all services install
When connecting to sample site accessing projects clicking on port folio
analyzer it gives me below error:-

"Unable to access microsoft office project portfolio analyzer OLAP Cube.
The Cube may not exist or You may not have permission to access the cube."

It works on the same machine but when i try it from another machine with the
same user it gives me this error.
I checked right on Sample Cube.
User has admin rights on everything.

But it work with the normal project server site without any error.

Please any one could help me out.

Sandeep,

There is a help document (sampledb.html) that walks you through the proper installation and configuration of the sample database that ships with project server. I've been going through it in detail this past week. You should get ahold of that document and make sure that you're following all the steps as outlined. There is an entire section dedicated to the OLAP cube configuration.

I had a similar problem a while ago.

Check the OLAP cube generation and note the name of the cube.
Then check the View definition for a Portfolio Analyzer view and make sure
the server name and cube name are right.. You may well find that it points
to localhost. Change it to the actual server name and see if that works.
