Dear all,
a macro has many sheets, forms and modules; and each one of them contains
some codings, i want to know how to save all the codings (inside the same
excel file) in one single txt file.
Would you pls help? Thanks.

Export all modules will create multiple text files. i had one excel file
with macros, it contains many sheets, forms and modules. i have made some
changes in codings and create a new excel file.
Two years late, there are several excel files, i want to know what exactly i
changes in the past 2 years and thus i am asking an easy way to output all
codes in an excel files to one single text file. Then I may compare these
several text file to find the difference in codings.
Thanks.

Hmmm,

how about this:
1) export all modules of the excel file into one folder
2 ) from the command line (aka DOS Window)
COPY "c:\My_folder_with_the_text_files\*.*"
"c:\destination_Folder\Version1.txt"
this will combine all files into one file.
Repeat this for all excel files you want to compare.

Helmut.

Thanks but your method still require to export all modules individually (many
sheets, forms and modules) to a text file first, then merge them to one
single.

If there is no direct way to do so. Is it a good idea to write a new Excel
macro to search all sheets, forms and modules, see if any codes inside, if
yes then copy the codes and paste it in a NotePad?

But I don't know the code to search all sheets to see if any codes inside,
could you please help?
Thanks.
