Save and Save as buttons on word 2003

Hi,

I'm having problems saving my word document in word 2003,
the save and save as buttons don't do anything .i.e when
you click on the save as button you don't get the save as
window appearing

Previously i have try'd the repair option using the word
disk, reinstalling the whole office package and also
installing using the local admin account for the machine,
but still the save and save as buttons do not do anything,
this is very weird,

Have you tried disabling the Office Plug-in in Norton AntiVirus?

I dont use Norton antivirus, i use trend micro, could it
be something to do with trend!!!

Possibly, but I am familiar with the problem only in connection with NAV.
When you try to use Save/Save As, do your title bar and Taskbar flash? Is
there a flashing button on the Taskbar representing the Save As dialog,
which has opened behind the Word document window?
