Save As, Blank Filename, HELP!

MS Office 2K standard

File Name box is blank instead of the current file name filling the
box.
When opening a previously named .doc, .xls, or .ppt, making changes
and Clicking File>Save As, the File Name box is Blank!
It works fine on my PC and others around me where the current filename
appears in the box without having to type it again.
Anyone have ideas, it's gotta be simple. Please Help.
I've removed, reinstalled, removed all templates, I'm lost

Have you tried a "Detect and Repair" of Office? If you have and it didn't
work, you may be faced with un-installing Office and the re_installing it.
