We save some of the data out of our MSP files to a
database using a module with the Save as function:
FileSaveAs Name:="<Microsoft Project - Reports DB>",
UserID:="", DatabasePassWord:="",
FormatID:="MSProject.odbc", map:="Database Output"
This worked fine for many months but some project files
have recently started crashing project when the module is
run.
We can overcome this by first saving the offending project
as a database and then running the module again, it
usually seems to work.
I initially thought that if we always saved our projects
as a database (mpd) we would get rid of the problem but
time has shown that this is not the case. In fact we have
to do the opposite to get around the problem. e.g. resave
the project as an mpp file!
I have searched this forum and didn't find anything.
Any ideas anyone?
