Save as PDF changes black copy to 87%

When I use the Save as PDF or XPS function, the art and copy that was 100%
black in my Pub document changes to 87% which is driving me crazy. Can anyone
tell me how to change the setting so the PDF copy is 100% black? I am using
Pub 07 and Acrobat Pro 7.1 on Windows 7 64 bit. This happens when I save as
Commercial Press quality or on any of the settings.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

The problem is happening because the RGB black/grays that Publisher is
using is getting converted to device gray. If the conversion were
occurring correctly then you would get 0% device gray (solid black).
But alas any time Publisher converts color there is going to be a
problem. Leave it as RGB black/gray and fix in Acrobat. It really is
the best way.
