Save As Problem

I have a series of templates created and most of them work
beautifully. In some cases, when the template is filled
in and we try to do a Save As we get an error message
which reads: The macro cannot be found or has been
disabled because of your Macro security settings.

I have checked Medium in the security settings and have
set it to trust all, but this continues to happen. We did
not put any user created macros in these templates. Other
templates work fine. Sometimes if your click on Save you
get the window to do a Save As..., but not always.
Help!!!! Word is about to send me over the edge! I want
my WordPerfect back (o.k., I feel better now). As always,
thanks for the assist. Don't know what I'd do without you
folks.

Is the template stored in the User Templates folder? Are you creating new
documents based on the template by going to the File | New dialog?

Hi abs,

The phrase that worries me is "when the template is filled in and we
try to do a Save As". Are you making your changes directly in the
template and trying to save that as a "document"? Don't!

Put the templates in the User Templates folder (as shown in the Tools
Options > File Locations dialog) or in a subfolder under that.
(Alternatively, if you have many people using these templates on a
network, have them all point their Workgroup Templates location at the
same folder on a server and put the templates there.)

Then use File > New and choose the appropriate template to create a
new document. Even if the templates have macros in them, the new
documents won't, and the problem will be gone.

The templates themselves should be edited only when you want to change
the contents or formatting of new documents.

If no one has told you lately...you people are wonderful!
I will check this out!
