Save Dialog

When ever i try to save a document in any of the office programs, the
beach ball spins and it takes a few minutes for the save dialog to come
up! what seems to be the problem?

beach ball spins and it takes a few minutes for the save dialog to come

Go to system prefs>.Mac>iDisk and turn off iDisk syncing. Office is
checking out all available places to save and isn't smart enough to
ignore the relatively remote and inaccessible iDisk. Or, mayby, iDisk
is too obtuse. Either way, the prescription usually works.
