save document as a "pdf file"???

How can I save a document as a PDF file? This is not offered as an option in
the drop down save as menu. tahnks

You need the to get the full version of Adobe Acrobat (not just
the free Adobe Reader... see

Acrobat's many shareware and freeware clones (see

Instead of buying and installing the huge problem-generating Adobe Acrobat,
you may use the free pdf-making tools available on the web. For the past
couple of years, I am using cutepdf with excellent results.
