Save & Exit

When using Word 2003, I need to save regularly, which is not a problem, this is a habit for me. BUT, sometimes when I forget to save, then try and save, I have a non responsive program and loose me unsaved work. Therefore, I seem to save every little edit I do, and when the document is large, which there are many, I even save and then exit, and I am happy that the save saved. Any suggestions on why I get a non responsive message continually. And about 1 out 10 times I can close Word down when I am finished safely and correctly - I usually get the non responsive message. Thanks to all who reply.

This is probably due to abandoned temp files on your system. See the
