Save in 2007 Format Problem

At the moment my database is in format (2002) but when I try to save as
2007 accdb format I am getting an error
You attempted to open a database that is already open exclusively by user
Admin on machine "xxxxxxx" try again when database is enable

what if you close it then convert it directly? (Don't use File/Open
use Convert or whatever...)
