save several messages as text file - Outlook 2003

Hello,

I previously had Outlook 97 and Outlook 2000. I was able
to highlight several messages, then click file/save as and
then save all of those messages together in 1 text file.
Now I have Outlook 2003. When I do the same steps as
described above, it saves the headers of each message, and
only the body of the very last message in the text file.
I need to have the headers AND body of each message in my
text file. Is this possible in Outlook 2003. Or, if not,
is there a utility or some kind of software that would do
this for me?

Thank you!

it should work like it did before- did you install sp1 yet?

What format are the messages?
Are you using a pst created in the old version or one outlook 2003 created?

Diane (and anybody else who knows an answer to this
problem),

This is a PC at my work and I can't install updates on my
own. I don't think SP1 has been installed.

The messages are in plain text format.

The pst was probably created in an older version, since we
were just converted from Outlook 97 to 2003 but did not
loose any of our mail. I would assume that they just kept
the pst file when they upgraded Outlook.

In your opinion, would this functionality only work with
SP1 installed?

Thanks for your help!

No, it should work with RTM - it did for me. SP1 fixes some issues with ANSI
psts... and I'm pretty sure your problem is related to the pst format but I
don't know if it is fixed in SP1.

Can you create a new pst using file, new, outlook data file? Use the default
Unicode format and copy some messages to it - see if it works as expected.
