SaveAs dialog box

Vincnet.

Hi everybody
Sorry for my bad english but I'll try to do my best.
My problem is related to an add-in I want to implement on my computer. This
add-in should save a ppt file as 'date - name.ppt/s'.
I just want the user to be able to change date or address. So my idea was to
use Dialogs(ppDialogFileSaveAs) which exists under Word and XL but doesn't
under PPT VBA... I think I could use an API but don't know how to use it. If
anybody can help me, thank you !

Vincent,
PowertPoint 2002 and later exposes file dialog support. Earlier versions of
PPT too had them but the implementation was slightly different and they were
hidden methods. You can check out the example for older versions on this
page - http://skp.mvps.org/vba.htm.

Thanks for this... I'll try to implement the add-in and come back if I have
any further questions.
And again: thank you!!!

Well, I've used your tips related to the hidden method FileDialog but I can't
achieve to put a pre-determined FileName (e.g. "2005-09-06 - my pres.ppt") in
the dialog I make appear...
Do you know if it's possible, and if not, if there's another way to manage
this
Thanks again...
