Saved as TIFFs look rubbish

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

From PowerPoint, I can save fine as every format - except TIFFs. No matter the resolution/size I choose in options, TIFFs come out looking like blocky 90dpi rubbish. Every other format (JPEG, etc.) is fine. Any clues?

Not any that I'm allowed to talk about other than to say, Microsoft
knows. They're working on fixing it. It's hard to fix.
