Saved Attachments

When someone sends me a Word file, I open it from Entourage. It
automatically saves a copy in "Saved Attachments in the Microsoft User Data
folder.

I make changes in the opened Word doc, and save it.

If I reopen the same email, with the same document I just changed, it does
not show my changes. Why not? If I do exactly the same in a PC, it will open
with my saved changes.

Because you are opening a second copy of the original attachment that came
in the message. If you want to open your modified version, navigate to it in
the Finder and open it.
