Saved searches are no longer working

I just noticed that my saved searches (mail views) are no longer working. When I try to create a new saved search, nothing comes up. But when I type an identical search in the "Filter" text box, the search works as usual. I have tried rebuilding the spotlight index (I wasn't sure if that would solve anything...), but that didn't help.

I'm a little bit at a loss here because only my iMac has this problem, my MacBook Air doesn't. Both use the same OS X version, same Entourage update (12.1.2), same IMAP account with access to MobileMe mail...

Test in a new Identity to see if it's your current Identity that has the
problem. If it is your Identity, then try rebuilding the database.

You mention it was only the iMac that had the problem. You might need to
download the combo updater from Apple and run it again rather than using
Software Update. Doing so overwrites potentially problem-causing files.
Several users have reported this fixed some odd problems they were having
with Entourage. Combo updaters will install on the same version as they¹re
applying‹no need to roll back or do a clean install.

Rather an odd problem to be affected by system files, but I've seen some
strange things. Running a combo is a good tonic regardless.

The other test would be to create a new User in System Preferences and test
there. This would eliminate anything in your User's folder.

I installed the update combo (no success) and hen created a new user account, but the problem persists.
