Saving a template (MPT) in project server

Hi,

I have created a standard project template to be used by all PMs in our
organization. I saved this teamplate to project server using "File->Save
As->" option from project professional. In the "Save to Project Server"
dialog box, I selected type as "Template" to save this as a template in
Project Server.

However I am unable to see this on project server web access.

1. How can all PMs see this template?
2. How can PMs download this template to be used for their own projects?

Hi Vinaya,

Once the template is saved, to create an other project based on the
template, you will need to:

1. Launch Project,
2. Go to menu File, New,
3. In the guide, go to From My Computer,
4. On Enterprise Templates, you should see your template.

To open a new project using your enterprise project template, users need to
complete the following steps:

1. Launch Microsoft Project Professional and log into Project Server
2. Click File - New
3. In the sidepane on the left, click the "On my computer" link
4. Select the Enterprise Templates tab
5. Select the template and click OK

Given your lack of experience with Project Server, you might want to
consider purchasing one or both of our company's books on Project Server
2003. One book is directed at the needs of Project Managers while the other
focuses the needs of Project Server administrators. Click on either URL in
my signature block for information on how to order our books. Hope this
helps.

you will not be able to see them in PWA.

In Project Pro click File | New
Then in the side pane click On my computer. There will be an Enterprise
Templates tab. your template will be there.

Step 3 "In the sidepane on the left, click the "On my computer" link" Does
not appear in my project professional. Is there a setting I need to change?

When you click File - New, the system opens a sidepane on the left. What
happens when you do this?
