saving a webpage

I have seen this several times now. When I go to a webpage and try to save
it, i get a message that says "This page can not be save". I have used
several other browsers besides IE and still get this message. Tested on
Netscrape 7, & firefox 1.03. There must be some code that is stopping this.
If anyone knows this code, could I see it?

No, file save as. Will go and find the site.

message Show us one.
Do you mean disabling Right Click?

I under stand right click, but that is not what I saw. When using IE or
Firefox, or netscape, when I go to file save as, it starts downloading the
pages but at the end it says "this page can not be saved", and no files are
stored in the folder i specified. I know the files, pictures, html files,
etc are stored in a temp folder, but I just wanted to know how some of these
sites are stoppong the file save as command. I lost the site that had done
it, will have to look for it again, and repost.

I don't know about NN 7 or Firefox, but the behavior you are reporting
frequently occurs in IE when your browser cache is set to a large file size
and is full. By default usually the setting is 10% of the drive but with the
size of today's hard drives it can cause the problem you are reporting or
causing the 'save' option to be grayed out.

Try Control Panel | Internet Options | General Tab | Settings Then change
the amount of space to something under 100mg. I like 50-70mg. Then empty
your cache by using the Delete Files button. (Deleting cookies is optional).

Then go back to a page displaying the problem with and see if you can save
the file now.

Otherwise, like Thomas requested you will need to provide a url to a page
displaying the problem.

I have the following settings in IE:
"Check for newer versions of stored pages: NEVER"
Temporary Folder "1m"
History days: "0"

In FF and Nescrape 7 it does not give you an error it just downloads
pictures and no html.
I still need to find the website.

I'd recommend at least 20 mg on the temp file size and if you want to avoid
cachine use
Check for newer versions of stored pages:
Every visit to the page.

A url of a problem page would be much easier to see if it is your settings
or something else.
