Hi, I am trying to save a Access 2002 file to my A drive; it hasn't worked,
yet. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I assume your A drive is a standard 1.44 MB floppy diskette. Is this correct? If so, is your
database larger than about 1.4 MB or do you already have other files saved to the diskette? If
so, you may not have enough remaining free space available. Try compacting it. With the database
open in Access, click on Tools > Database Utilities > Compact and Repair. If you have a zip
utility, such as WinZip, you can create a compressed archive that is always much smaller than the
uncompressed .mdb file. The file needs to be closed before attempting to zip it.

I definitely do not recommend trying to open a database in Access when it is on a floppy
diskette. Use removable media only for back-up or transfer to another PC.
