Are you saying that you are trying to move the Excel files and then Access
can't find them where you told it they were?

Could you just make a copy and put the copy elsewhere?

I am moving/copying all file , the access seems to be always looking for the
files where they where initially

Access has no way of knowing you moved the files unless you tell it to look
elsewhere.

Hii Jeff,
thank you for your attention , ok i understand the situation . I just wanted
to be sure that ther isn't something i am missing as it is a bit cumbersome
to keep chaging the links every time .

Thanks again

Yes, it could get tiresome.

If you'll describe a bit more about "why" you are moving the files, perhaps
folks here in the newsgroup can offer an approach that works better...

Thanks again Jeff for asking ,

My main reason is that I mainly develope the system IE Excel files & access
file on my laptop but when i need to print i have to load the files on the
network , also sometimes i have to show the reports and and the workings on
someones eles PC.

I hope i am explaining myself :)

So why do you need to "move" the files? If you need a copy of the files to
load elsewhere, could you use Windows Explorer to copy/paste as needed?
