Saving access files to a CD

When saving a Data Base created in Access to a disc, I can only open it in
read only. It will not allow me to make changes or addtions. When saving I
make sure that the attribute "read only" is not checked and it still saves as
read only. Is it possible to save the Data Base on a CD so that I can bring
it to another computer and open it there and make changes and additions to it?

CD is supposedly a Read-Only medium. All files written to CD are marked as
"Read-Only".

You cannot modify a database file on the CD. If you want to do so, copy it
back to hard-disk, uncheck the Read-Only flag on the hard-disk copy. Modify
this hard-disk copy. When you finish, you can copy this updated file back
to the CD and this new file will be marked as Read-Only again.

Put it on a CD-RW

Doesn't work either, Chris.

CD-RW means that you can *re-write* the whole file but Access will need to
write inside the file which is not possible with CD-RW.
