Saving default chart format

I want to be able to make a chart repeatedly with same formatting preferences I designate (e.g. font size, axis, colors). In excel 2004 you could do this by selecting chart type, custom charts, and add user-defined chart.

How do I do this in Mac Excel 2008?

A lot of us want the answer to this. It would be nice if someone from Microsoft would have the courtesy to read these boards and let us know what features they took out of the application.

Well, yes, it would be nice. But it's unlikely that you'll see a
comprehensive list of what was taken out. *No* company that I know of
does that...

These newsgroups are designed to be peer-support, though MacBU's
actually been pretty good about picking up on some of the threads on
crashes and unusual installation/update problems.

AFAICT, XL08's charting is a good example of a great idea gone horribly
wrong. The new features, including prepackaged charts, themes, etc., are
great, but they've so badly broken the existing features that anyone
making the transition is bound to be dissatisfied.

We can be hopeful that the next version both improves and restores.
