Saving document problems-write protect/read-only

I added microsoft word to my microsoft works suite and I
can't seem to get it to work properly. I am having
trouble saving any of my work to a cd-rw. Everytime I try
to save my work the message comes up: write-protected or
read-only. I teach school and I really don't want to have
to change the name and save my lesson plans everytime I
try to exit! How do I get it to let me save changes so
that the only time I create a new file is when I start a
new week?

HUH? This is the first time I have EVER posted this
question (or any other) . . . As a matter of fact, I have
never been to this web site before. If you have such a
problem with helping people why do you even get on?
I browsed through a lot of the info. already out there
and didn't see the answer about how to keep the disc from
being write protected. Is the answer as simple as don't
save to the disc? THEN SAY IT!

Here's another example for why everyone should not have the same anon
email address when posting from Web News. <sigh>

Didn't we talk about using <DisplayName>@discussions.microsoft.com? I
forgot the current status of this issue - it is going to be possible
to change it?

Actually, Google Groups does show two posts with different headers and
identical bodies, except that the first one was attached to an
existing thread. Here are the headers, with some fields deleted for

I saw those same two identical messages, as did Terry, obviously.

I have the same problem you are having. Did you get any information back on this?
