Saving email addresses

I there a way that I can set O-2007 to save the email addresses of *anyone*
I reply/post to?
Other clients have a 'collected addresses' folder for this

Hi Jim,

Outlook cannot do this natively (other than one at a time by right
clicking on an email address that is). See
http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/addauto.asp for more information about
this.

You could of course get a 3rd party solution like (* ahem *) our own Add
Email Address add-in. It will also scan your Inbox and add the past email
senders as contacts. You can find out more about this at
http://www.SperrySoftware.com/Outlook/Add-Email-Address.asp.

Hope this helps!

Not really, your Nickname cache (.NK2 file) should be collecting them but
that's not permanent.

Outlook 2010 uses the Suggested Contacts folder for this purpose.

As a one time and maybe imminent user of Thunderbird I sometimes wonder ...

If you find either T'bird or Seamonkey more suitable to your needs, then
please, switch to using one of them.

I must be less obtuse.
I'll try again.
Why didn't someone at Microsoft think of this first! <g>

We can only guess what was in the mind of the designers, but perhaps they
believed that their majority target userbase (Outlook/Exchange in a business
environment where everyone is in the Active Directory) don't want or need it.

As a long time and current user of Outlook I don't really have the
inclination to guess what you might be wondering.

Did you have another question?

No. Thank you for asking.

Henry Ford didn't think of the car first, but he did o.k. with it.

Like I said, Outlook 2010 does this natively, using the Suggested Contacts
folder. http://www.officeforlawyers.com/outlook/oab.html

Microsoft? Outlook Express does it, Outlook doesn't (or didn't). I
suspect more a case of target user.
