Saving graphics as a template

I'm new to Word - 2003, and I've got to start my thesis paper !!

I've designed graphics on a page that I want to save as a template for all
of the pages in my thesis, (except for chapter divider pages which I will
design in another document.)

How do I save my graphics document as a master which will repeat every time
I go to a new page?

Sorry to be dumb and novice - would greatly appreciate anyone's help.

If you anchor the graphics to the header, they will repeat on every page.
