Saving Images as bimaps

Ben Barrass

Hi,

I have a header in Word 2003, which is based on a table. I have a third
party package that will accept images in the header (and this the only way I
can get a header to look like the word one in that package - Mathsoft MathCad
13). This package only accepts bimaps as images.

However, when I cut/paste the table from word I get a very poor resulting
image - pasting into Paint or Paint Shop Pro. The image becomes severely
reduced in quality - considering this is just a B&W text & lines image this
is dissappointing.

I have cut this image into powerpoint as an meta file (both types) and saved
this powerpoint file as a bitmap image. The original emf or wmf image in
powerpoint is perfect, but the bitmap image produced on the save as is even
worse than that produced through the simple cut/paste into paint.

This would appear to be something that should be easy to do and I am missing
something simple, such as controlling the image quality on the save.

Please could you suggest a means of obtaining a bitmap image of a word table
that would look the same on the screen as well as on a B&W Laser print (A4 -
portrait).

Thanks in advance,
