Saving in graphics format generates lines in graphic

I have produced a small logo using Publisher (2003 SP2). It has no borders.
However, if I save it in jpeg, bmp, or png formats at least one line is
included in the picture, usually one down the left and one along the top. I
first noticed it when inserting them into Word, and thought it might be a
Word problem, but further investigation using Paint showed that the line(s)
did indeed exist. If I erased them with Paint, they stayed erased and could
be inserted into Word without problem.

So - I have a workaround, but it is tedious, and this does seem a Publisher
bug to me.

I don't see this when I save as a picture. Is there text in your logo?

Try this
1.Click the AutoShape or picture to select it.
2. On the Format menu, click AutoShape or Picture.
3. In the Format AutoShape or Format Picture dialog box, click the Colors and
Lines tab.
4. Clear the Draw border inside frame check box.

Thanks for a speedy response. The document is composed of many shapes and
text boxes, none of which have any borders, so it is difficult to see how to
apply your suggestions. I would be happy to send you a copy of the file if
that will help.

When Julian sent the files, I could duplicate the line on the left of the image
when saved as a .png. I brought the picture back into Publisher cropped the line
out and resaved. I could eliminate the line by creating a white no line
rectangle and sending it to the back of the logo. I then saved as a .png.

I will report this to the Publisher developers as a bug.
