saving in Word

Sometimes (not EVERY time) I am not able to save Word
doc. My computer is only a few months old; we have
Windows XP, Office 2000 Professional. I tried the
troubleshooting I found on website - right click on Word;
Properties; Compatibility tab - I have no Compat. tab
when I go to Prop.
Help!!

Have you tried repairing Microsoft Office from setup or within Microsoft
Word from the Help menu "Detect & Repair". Also, make sure the latest
Service Pack for Office 2000 is installed.
