saving in Word

When I try to save or save as I get the error "Word cannot
complete save due to a file permission error. I have not
added any programs or deleted anything. I have been using
this program for about nine months and it worked fine. TIA

Yes, I have activated it. Also, I do not have Norton, I
have not added or deleted anything lately. I have taken
out add-ins, I have done a virus check, ummm, I can't
remember what else right now. I have not done a re-
install as I HATE to have to go through all of that and I
am not real good with computers and all that I have to
save and put back in. This has been working fine for the
last nine months.

If you go to Start, Run and type in

Winword /a

and press enter, then create a test document does it save now?

Thanks for your help. I am on vacation next week so I
will work on this again then.
