Saving issues with Publisher 2003

I am not able to save my poster as a tiff or jpeg. I get either the error:
cannot save file or the computer freezes. The file is around 7 Mb big and
has a lot of graphics. I use XP home edition and Publisher 2003. I have 1.25
Gb RAM and plenty of space on the hard drive.

Turn off the detailed display for pictures. View, pictures... Does that help?

Read the third FAQ here, although you are viewing your pictures okay, your video
driver maybe failing.

I tried all options that you mentioned but publisher is still freezing or
cannot save the file. I saved now the file as pdf and opened it in photoshop
and saved it from there as a tif. That worked. But it is still annoying that
I was not able to save directly from publisher. Are there any limitations
for saving big files?

Shouldn't be any limitations. .tif formats can be tricky, there are different
flavors of .tif.

OK. For now I can live with the workaround with pdf and photoshop. Will try
again other formats like jpeg etc.
