Saving Master Projects without publishing

Quick question:

Is it possible in Project Server 2007 to allow users to save master
projects, while not allowing them to publish? So far I've only found the
option to allow or disallow the two together (in Advanced Server Settings).

Hi Nir,

generally a user can save a Masterproject into Project Server 2007 without
publishing it. The disadvantage is of course that you cant view it in Project
Web Access, but generally certainly possible

Hope this helps

Thank you for the answer Marc, but I'm afraid you misunderstood the question.

I know that it is possible for the user to save and not publish. I was
wondering if it is possible for the Administrator to make it impossible for
the users to publish master projects, while still allowing them to save them
to the server.

Hi Nir,

I'm afraid it is not possible to allow one without the other. In the
Additional Server Settings page of PWA, you have the option:
- Allow master projects to be saved *and* published to PS 2007...
