Saving new tab settings

I did a search in this newsgroup for this problem, and although I found a
number of people with the same problem, I didn't seem to find any answers. I
am using Pub 2003 in Win 2000. Whenever I try to save a tab setting other
than the application default (0.5"), the tab setting reverts back to the
default whenever I re-open the document. VERY frustrating! Is there ANYONE
out there who knows how to fix this?
