Saving Portfolio Analyzer views as links not available in ProjectServer 2007

Hello folks,
just a simple question - the following functionality of Project Server
2003:

Saving Portfolio Analyzer Views as Links in Project Web Access
You can save links to Portfolio Analyzer views in the Project Web
Access side pane.

To save Portfolio Analyzer views as links in Project Web Access
On the Portfolio Analyzer page, while working with a Portfolio
Analyzer view that you want to access on a regular basis, click Save
Link.In the Save Link dialog box, enter the name of the link that you
want to save in the Project Web Access side pane. The link will be
available under Saved Links in the side pane in the Project Center.

is not available in Project Server 2007. Does anybody know why? I have
used this pretty often for Resource Managers to track their own data
without the need to create custom views on the Admin side.

Thank you for your answer.

The Save Link feature has been removed in Project Server 2007. I do not
know why it was removed, seemed pretty useful to me.

Sorry,
Jonathan

That is very unfortunate. I used this feature a lot. I wish someone
from Microsoft would explain this.

The explanation I was given was that it was too difficult to implement
within the SharePoint envelope. Your work around is to have your users
simply save their views to Excel and select to retain the active data
connection.
