saving ppt to word with pic/graphical objects

Frisk

Hi,
Is it possible to save a powerpoint presentation to a word file?
I understand this can be done with SAVE AS ...RTF, but only the characters
(letters and numbers) will be saved, losing any graphs and pictures.
How can these graphical objects be saved also with the rest from the ppt to
word file?

ps - Office version 2000
Thanks

Use the send to Word Option.

Hi Michael,
thanks!
Although your suggestion works perfectly, I've realized that I didn't ask
the right question:
- I don't pretend a snapshot of the slides into Word,
- what I pretend is when "saving as..." to the RTF format, I can also save
the pics/image objects as well.

I understand there is no direct way to do that.

Cheers,
F

Not AFAIK. You could always use the sent to Word function, then use the Save As
in word to save as an rtf file.

The point is: sending it to Word will create a new word document with plain
text but without images/pics/graphs, or make a simple copy of every slides.

And what I'm looking for is sending all to word without all the fancy things
from ppt... just want plain text and images.

No it doesn't. When you send to Word, you get an 5 options on how you want your
graphics, with or without notes, along with the option to either paste or link.

Send to Word sends either PPT slide thumbnails or it sends the outline
(which means all text in the slide placeholders, but not text in manually
created textboxes). There's not a way to send text and images in the manner
you want.

Hi Steve,
I understand your suggestion is works fine, and that is really what I've
been doing...
The point is I wish to avoid the painfull task of copying each one of the
250 images/graphs existing in each one of the 250 slides.

So, probably, only through VBA programming this could be done
automatically...?

I don't care about formatting and styles... just contents.

What do you think?
Cheers,
F.

The best way to show this would be sending both files to this forum, but I
think it's ot possible.
Would you like to receive them and have a look?
