Saving project error

Mike

Hi Guys,

I just ran into a problem saving my published project.

I created a project plan from a custom enterprise
template. I filled out the plan no problem, added a
generic enterprise resources to the tasks, did some
levelling, saved the plan, all without any problems.

When I opened up the plan again, I added two real
resources from the enterprise resource pool, re-assigned
tasks between the two resources, then removed the generic
resource.

When I came to save the updated plan I got a popup error
message stating :

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] Cannot
insert duplicate key row in object 'MSP_RESOURCES' with
unique index 'I_MSP_RESOURCES'.

Clearly this has something to do with resources and the
SQL server. The error makes sense in that I was just
changing resources and saving the project, but
specifically what is wrong and how it should be rectified
I have no clue.

Thanks to anyone who can assist.

Mike

How did you add the actual resources? Did you use Build Team from
Enterprise?

Yes. I followed standard 'Managing with MS Project 2002'
procedure !

Mike:

How did you replace the Generic resources on the tasks. What method and what
part of the interface did you use? Please give me the exact steps.
