Saving Project Template to Project Server

B

Brenda

I can't find information on this so I don't know if it's
possible or not. I want all my PMs to have access to the
same project templates. They don't all have access to the
same public share drives, so I can't save them there. Can
I save a template to Project Server and if yes, how.

Thanks for your help.

Here's how:

1. Log into Project Server through Microsoft Project Professional with
Project Manager permissions or higher
2. Create your project
3. Click File - Save As...
4. In the Save to Microsoft Project Server dialog box, set the Type option
to Template
5. Name the project and click the Save button

To actually create a new project from this template, your PM's will then
need to do the following:

1. Click File - New...
2. In the New Project sidepane on the left, click the General Templates
option
3. In the Templates dialog box, click the Enterprise Templates tab
4. Select the desired template and click the OK button

Hope this helps.
