Saving/remembering custom filters

I am trying to use the "Assign myself to an existing
task" feature to work on a task that has been assigned to
a generic resource, but not to a person yet. I do this
by setting up a custom filter on the Resource Names field
and it works good. However the system does not remember
my custom filter the next time I open this view.

Is it possible to save or remember these filters?

I do not believe there is any default method for saving a custom filter in
the View My Tasks page. Hope this helps.
